We demand that Governor Greg Abbott take immediate action to allow all Texas voters who fear for their health to apply for vote by mail ballots. 

 Under current law, Texans who are 65 or older, sick or disabled, or living outside their county of residence have the option to vote by mail. Abbott has the power to expand vote by mail to all voters, but is choosing not to protect our health and our democracy during this pandemic. 

Instead, Abbott is continuing to suppress the vote. We know from history that these tactics often impact voters of color the most. And now, at a time when Black communities and Latino communities are suffering the most from COVID-19, our Governor is putting up more roadblocks that will put even more of our people at risk. 

 We need Abbott to take action now, in time for the July 14th primary runoff.

Nosotros demandamos que el gobernador Greg Abbott tome acción inmediata para permitir que todos los votantes de Texas, que temen por su salud, apliquen por boletas por correo.

Bajo la ley actual, personas en Texas que tienen 65 años o más, están enfermos o tienen discapacidades, o viven fuera de su condado de residencia tienen la opción de votar por correo.Abbott tiene el poder de expandir la balota por correo a todos los votantes pero escoge no proteger a nuestra democracia o nuestros votantes durante esta pandemia.

En lugar, Abbott continue suprimir el voto. Sabemos en nuestra historia que estas prácticas tienen peor efecto en comunidades de color. Ahora, cuando comunidades afroamericanas y latinas estan sufriendo mas perdidas por el COVID-19, nuestro gobernador está poniendo más restricciones que pueden poner a más personas de nuestra comunidad en riesgo.

Necesitamos que Abbott tome acción hoy, en tiempo de la escorrentía primaria.
