“ICE’s murder of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo once more shows how the agency under Donald Trump has become a lying, killing hate-machine whose sole purpose is to advance MAGA’s white nationalist agenda.
“A family is without a hardworking, loving father and Houston is without a proud community member because of this rogue agency that must be dismantled.
“Video footage and eyewitness testimony directly contradict the Department of Homeland Security’s official account of what happened.
“A person’s immigration status – no matter their race, nationality, or language they speak – should in no way ever give anyone credence to shoot and kill.”
“TOP joins community partners in grieving with Lorenzo’s loved ones, and in demanding an immediate, fully-independent, and transparent investigation into his murder at the hands of ICE.”
